Arsenal Survives Against Sporting CP in Europa League Round of 16 First Leg

  In the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 matchups against Sporting CP, Arsenal was not at their best, with moments of sloppiness and disjointed play. However, they were able to leave Lisbon with a 2-2 draw after an eventful 90 minutes of football.   Mikel Arteta made six changes to his starting lineup, with some changes forced upon him and others made in anticipation of upcoming fixtures as Arsenal continues to compete on multiple fronts, including the Premier League title chase. Tottenham's Champions League Hopes Dashed as AC Milan Edges Them Out in Drab Round of 16 Second Leg

  The highly anticipated Champions League match between Tottenham and AC Milan in the Round of 16 ended in disappointment for the home team, as they failed to mount a comeback despite the return of their manager, Antonio Conte, after a five-week absence due to gallbladder surgery. Milan had the advantage with an early goal by Brahim Diaz in the first leg, and Tottenham's wasteful players were unable to find the back of the net, resulting in a 1-0 aggregate defeat. Adding to their misery, Cristian Romero received a second yellow card late in the game and was dismissed. This defeat also means that Tottenham's chances of winning a trophy this season are virtually nonexistent. They were previously knocked out of the FA Cup by second-tier Sheffield United and the Carabao Cup in the Third Round by Nottingham Forest.
